Flexibility equals fun
OK, now let's talk about stretching and how it is so very important in your everyday life and most importantly for our readers...your sex life! I will explain four easy to follow and simple stretches that you can do in a just a few minutes time that will benefit you greatly. Let's find out how flexibility equals fun and how better sex is our reward!
Simply stated, working on your flexibility will not only help to prevent painful injuries but lead to a more enjoyable sex life overall by giving you the ability to try different positions and stay in these positions longer. Studies show that limber people typically have fewer breaks, sprains and tears throughout their lifetime. Now, let's talk about some moves you should be doing at least 5 days a week:
1. Quad stretch: Put your hand on a wall or back of a chair for support. Bend one leg up behind you and grab that ankle with the hand of the same side. Pull your foot up and your leg backwards while keeping your back straight.
2. Inner thigh stretch: Spread your feet apart slightly wider than shoulder width. Lean onto the left leg while bending it at the knee about to 45 degrees. Keep your other leg straight while doing this then switch legs and repeat.
3. Foot to foot leg stretch: Sit on floor with your legs bent and level with the floor. Make the bottoms of your feet touch each other. Pull your feet in as close to your body as possible. Wrap your hands around your feet and toe's while placing your elbows into the sides of your knee's. Now pull up slightly with your hands while pushing down with your elbows and your chin towards your feet.
4. Side to side knee drop: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Keep your shoulders relaxed and flat against the floor. Slowly drop your knee's to one side as far as they will go comfortably. Relax there for a few seconds and then bring them back up. Then repeat for the other side.
Remember to listen to your body and do what feels good, work on goals and do not force anything. When doing the stretches a good rule of thumb is to hold them in place for no more than 30 seconds and move in slow motion when changing positions, never rush. There are a ton of stretching moves you can and should be doing.
